This match between Cena and Corbin is come out of nowhere like the match fixed a week ago between Rusev and Randy Orton. It seems like a transitional feud for both the guys. Also, Baron Corbin is Mr. Money In The Bank and at WWE SummerSlam 2017 ‘s stage, it will be the right time to cash in the contract and become the next WWE World Champion for Baron Corbin. Especially when the company feels it is not the right time for Shinsuke Nakamura to hold the World Title.
If Baron Corbin will keep off the match card altogether then it will essentially put a neon He’s cashing in sign over the WWE World championship match between Jinder Mahal and Shinsuke Nakamura. And if Going up against the John Cena (Seems a fifteen minutes affair) will throw the people off the scent of the cashing in the contract at least.
However, John Cena is John Cena and He needed a WWE SummerSlam 2017 opponent for him. He had the chance to face Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam 2017. but he loses that chance. And it seemed that he will now join WWE Raw as of Free Agent. But instead of this, he was getting involved in a feud with Baron Corbin.
Unless this, somehow winds up with Baron Corbin putting the Mr. Money In The Bank briefcase on the line. There is not much storyline noise to be made here aside from a fresh match for them.
